Who we are

The Palestinian Digital Memory Encyclopedia is a project that aims to preserve and document the history and culture of the Palestinian people by collecting digital materials that represent the collective memory of Palestinian generations.
This project is funded by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture. In cooperation with the Palestinian Cultural Fund. The project seeks to promote Palestinian cultural awareness and familiarize the world with the history and heritage of Palestine through modern digital media

“Every picture has a story…. and every scene has a testimony that doesn’t die”

This platform was implemented by Sawaed Association for Cultural Development, a Palestinian non-profit organization established in 2007 in Palestine – Tulkarem Governorate

The foundation aims to preserve the Palestinian cultural heritage by organizing cultural events. and promote cultural awareness among new generations. Especially in light of the challenges that threaten the Palestinian collective memory.

The organization also seeks to empower local communities culturally. Through participatory programs and projects that integrate culture and development. Culture is enshrined as a means of resilience and preservation of identity.
